2.2 Setup Organizational Settings

Quick Start Guide

This is where the magic starts to happen. Organizational settings allow for full customization for any and all NEMT needs.

NOTE: Please remember to 'Save Organizational Settings' by tapping the button at the bottom of the page to save any updates.

  1. Find Settings: Navigate to the top right corner of the Bambi Platform and select “Setting” from the dropdown menu after clicking on the account and username.
  2. Location: Fill in Headquarters Location, Dispatch Phone Number and Dispatch SMS (Texting) Number.
  3. Export Settings: Tax ID is only required for some exported billing platforms (i.e. Quickbooks) and Logo is utilized for generating invoices for export from Bambi.
  4. Transportation: Default Start and End Times for Pricing. (not required).
    1. Option to Avoid Toll Roads for Dispatching.
  5. Signature Settings: Choose default settings for signature confirmations.
    1. Driver on Pickup: Driver is required to sign every time a passenger is picked up.
    2. Driver on Dropoff: Driver is required to sign every time a passenger is picked up.
    3. Passenger on Pickup: Passenger is required to sign every time a passenger is picked up
    4. Passenger on Dropoff: Passenger is required to sign every time a passenger is picked up.

NOTE: Signatures may be required by payers for invoicing and payment.

  1. Vehicle Inspections: Choose requirements for Driver to complete vehicle inspections.
    1. Require Inspections Before Assignment: Before a Driver is able to start their shift they are required to complete a vehicle inspection.
    2. Require Inspection After Assignment: Before a Driver is able to end their shift they are required to complete a vehicle inspection.
  2. Load/Unload Times: Customize the default driver and passenger loading and unloading times in minutes. This allows the automated schedule to build in adequate buffer time to allow for any loading or unloading situation.
    1. Ambulatory Load / Unload: Passenger is able to walk.
    2. Broda Chair Load / Unload: Specialized wheelchair.
    3. Geri Chair Load / Unload: Basic Geriatric chair.
    4. Stretcher Load / Unload: Stretcher Cot.
    5. Wheelchair Load / Unload: Basic wheelchair.
    6. Wheelchair XL Load / Unload: Extra-Large or Bariatric wheelchair

NOTE: It is recommended to simulate load / unload times for more realistic estimations.

  1. 'Run Bambi Run' Settings: Customize buffer times in minutes so that our AI scheduling system can provide a more realistic dynamic schedule based on your common needs.
    1. Default Pickup Early: Driver shows up early to pickup the passenger.
    2. Default Pickup Late: Driver arrives late to pickup the passenger.
    3. Appointment Pickup Late: Driver is late for pickup.
    4. Will Call Pickup Late: One-Way Trip requests late pickup.
    5. Maintain same driver for passenger: Driver must always pickup and dropoff individual passengers. Uncheck allows for Bambi to potentially find more optimal schedules where different drivers pickup or dropoff passengers.
  2. Appointment Early Arrival Buffer Times: Customize buffer times in minutes allows the automated schedule to build in adequate buffer time for different pickup situations.  
    1. Appointment Early Arrival Window: Driver is early for pickup.
  3. Trip Settings:
    1. Transport Type: Select the most common trip type to help optimize your schedule and buffer times based on load/unload settings.
      1. Wheelchair: Basic wheelchair
      2. Wheelchair XL: Extra-Large or Bariatric wheelchair
      3. Stretcher: Stretcher Cot.
      4. Ambulatory: Passenger is able to walk.
      5. Broda Chair: Specialty wheelchair
      6. Geri Chair: Geriatric chair
    2. Service Type:
      1. Curb to Curb: Passenger is picked up at curb and dropped off at curb.
      2. Door to Door: Passenger is picked up at door and dropped off at door.
      3. Door Through Door: Passenger is met inside pickup location (if necessary) and dropped off inside destination (if necessary).
  4. Facility Ride Ordering Portal Setting: Trip request portal settings from external organizations.
    1. Lead time required before pickup, in minutes.

Note: Default 1440 minutes is 24 hours notice.

  1. Pricing Settings: Requirements that may trigger additional fees or pricing.
    1. Late cancellation if canceled within these number of hours before pickup.
  2. Mobile App Settings: Customize the Driver App settings.
    1. Maximum upcoming trips shown to drivers: customize the number of trips drivers can view on their upcoming schedule.
  3. Bambi Customization Settings: Change visual customization within the web app.
