Quick Start Guide

6.1 Adding Vehicles

  • Navigate to “Vehicles” on the Fleet Sub-Menu and Tap the green “Add a Vehicle” button on the top right of the navigation.
  • Select Vehicle Type:
    • Ambulatory: can only accommodate walking passengers.
    • Wheelchair: can accommodate wheelchairs.
    • Stretcher: can accommodate stretcher cots.
  • Toggle On “Is this vehicle active?”
  • Create Vehicle Name
  • Add Address to “Overnight storage location”

Note: Overnight storage location will be used by Drivers and to calculate trip times to and from that location.

  • Add Vehicle Details: Make, MOdel, Color, Year, VIN, License Plate, License Plate State
  • Proceed to Next step
  • Add Capacity Configurations: Select how many passengers can safely be in the vehicle at the same time, and what extra equipment can fit.
    • Ambulatory: Passenger riding in normal seat.
    • Broda Chair: Passenger riding in a specialty wheelchair.
    • Empty Wheelchairs: Wheelchairs without passengers.
    • Geri Chair:
    • Stretcher: Passenger riding in stretcher cot.
    • Wheelchair: Passenger riding in wheelchair
    • Wheelchair XL: Passenger riding in a bariatric wheelchair.

Example A:

Vehicle with a capacity configuration of:

  • 2 ambulatory
  • 1 wheelchair

This vehicle can safely transport 1 person riding in a wheelchair and 2 people riding in normal seats. This vehicle will be available for wheelchair trips with or without accompanying passengers.

Example B:

The same vehicle could also be configured for a single passenger in a stretcher without an accompanying passenger, perhaps by removing the back seat. In that case, the vehicle would have a second capacity configuration of:

  • 1 stretcher

The vehicle will then be available for stretcher trips.
